'Water Colors'

I was in the Irish Hills region of Michigan for 9 days recently and got some sweet images of this beautiful area. This evening I was standing waist deep in 68 degree water trying to change a prop before losing all my daylight when this scene, two docks over, caught my eye. The brightly painted dinghy was bobbing gently in the waves while the setting sun was casting a golden light that painted the water with colorful reflections. Needless to say, the prop work got finished the next morning.
Full frame, hand held standing knee deep in the lake.

Beautiful. I love the colors and the image has a very painterly look to me.

The color and simplicity strike a cord for me Mike. Good chose to go over and capture this amazing scene of color and water shimer.

I love the warm color. One thing that I find interesting is how the water absorbed the yellow in the red/orange of the boat, leaving the reflection quite red. I like the graphic nature of this, Mike.
