Spot on perfection Charlie. Killer background.

Solid detail and a fairly neutral BG. If you have the canvas, moving the hawk to the right would give lip service to the ROT, but the hawk does a pretty good job of commanding the space as is. There seems to be a bit of blue cast in the whites at mid chest on the right and left sides.

Very nice detail on the hawk and perch Charlie. Nice lighting effect on the eye. Personally, I'm curious whether or not less dof would enhance the background appearance, just a little granular for my liking. Guess not every background has to be creamy smooth though... The hawk has a slight lean to the left, might be natural but I might be tempted to make him vertical.

Nice image Charlie...the BG is fine with me and I agree with Gary that making him more vertical would give this a better fill. My only tiny nit is the very top left corner has a different BG color. No issues when viewing it small, but if you view it large, it is definitely more noticeable.

Very nice bird.
I agree with others about moving the hawk to the right.
I would remove the small branch on the left bottom, as well as the red flower (I guess it is a flower).

Cool looking shot Charlie. I like the pose, the perch and the mottled BG. What a clean looking juvi. I agree that the c/w rotation would look better. Well done.
