My first clear sighting of Denali was around 8pm. The reflection into the pond was exciting. Our entire group was shooting as fast as possible as the light kept changing.

Nice view of Danali John. Tough to get. I understand only about one of every four visitors get a clear view of the mountain.

The light on the mountain and it's reflection are great. It would be nice to get some hints of detail in the darkness in between, but since this is a scan of a slide I doubt that's possible.

Wow, beautiful lighting on this one John and, of course, the reflection. Interesting how the reflected color is more orange, I guess due to the somewhat dark sky. The black clouds add a sense of drama to the whole scene and your vertical comp was the perfect choice.

Really nice lighting on the mountain and reflection John. The vertical comp was a great choice for this, and has really helped capture a sense of the grandeur of this location. Thanks for sharing! :toast:

Thank you all for your comments. This was a lucky shot. The bus taking the group to the lodge due to a comedy of errors was late getting into the park, which had our group at this spot much later than planed. It was a great time for about an hour or so. Even the tour leaders were burning through film. This was BD, before digital. Taken about 12 years ago.
