Say's Phoebe

I was set up on this perch shooting a Kestrel when this Say's Phoebe landed on the perch with a cricket. It gulped it down in a second. I shot a burst but didn't realize I got this until I looked at the LCD later. Thought it was kind of a fun frame.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

Absolutely astonishing timing. Good techs, good background, but the timing is exquisite.

Excellent capture. Good timing. The background compliments the subject well, and the raised wing pose shows of the vibrant pumpkin colored flanks well. Dave

Nice clean image with good action David. Not too bad to find something else this cool and interesting while waiting for the main subject to land. Nice work

Nice moment, David. I think the splashes of warmer tones in the underside and the mouth certainly help this subject stand out against the background a bit more.

WOW!! This is awesome! The sharpness and details are incredible and having the cricket in mid-air is amazing! I also really like the colours of the soft background. Congratulations on this being a Weekly Pick!
