Pretty garden scene, Michael. Nice combination of purples and different shades of green, with the lantern adding a focal point and interest. I really like garden landscapes, and personally wish we'd see more garden landscapes posted here, so I'm glad you shared this one.

Lovely light and tonality, Michael, and a captivating subject, with the softness of the flowers contrasting nicely with the rough textures of the bark and the lantern. I do just wonder if a tad more contrast might be good but this is charming as is.

Garden scenes are difficult, but you have wisely kept this fairly simple. I think I would clone out the stone near the URC with that in mind.

Mike - Good to see you posting again. The large version is a must see. Tons of details in the closer Azeleas. The scene with that small pagoda like structure is interesting too.

Very much enjoy the simplicity of your composition and how the flowers lead the eye back to the pagoda and beyond.

Wonderful garden shot. I like the layering in the image with the purple in the shaded foreground and orange in the sunny bg. The 2 trunks a like goalposts and pagoda is like the goalkeeper (watching too much world cup soccer) :toast:

Michael: A very pleasant little scene. I especially like the way the light has filtered through the trees. Well seen and captured. >=))>
