Alert fawn

Spotted 2 fawns near the road. I think they were looking for their mom who was not in sight. There were no vehicles in sight from either direction so I took a couple of quick shots and moved on. Later saw them all together.

Canon PS SX50
!/250 @ F-7.1 ISO320
Canon 4.3-215 @ 44mm HH
Taken about 7pm.

Nice look at this beautiful fawn. I like the green grass bg.

This youngster is getting big. Nice and alert pose shows it's getting the hang of what it has to do to avoid trouble. Good catch on your part. Glad to hear they all got back together later. The only correction I'd make is to bring the ears back into the normal range. That white lining certainly is hot.

Beautiful subject in a lush setting. I would wish for a less straight up posture, if possible, rather than one where the fawn appears to have only 2 legs. The detail in the whites seems degraded and I don't know if maybe this is a large crop or sensor/lens combo effect.

Beautiful setting. The green grasses make the colors of the fawn really stand out. 44mm, he was almost in the vehicle with you! Dave
