On 20Feb2008 I photographed this mountain gorilla silverback as it emerged from the forest close to me to cross a dirt road at Bwindi National Park, Uganda. The area was heavily guarded as it was close to conflict areas in DRC, and to protect both the ecotourists and the rare mountain gorillas - an endangered species. Overcast sky.

You've captured a great moment. The image looks a bit washed out, so I'd try some further processing. Maybe tone down the highlights and adjust the saturation/brightness of selected colors.

Wow! Must have been awesome to be in that spot/moment. Did you get more shots of this? Any closeups on the gorilla?
