Pretty common along the New England shoreline; caught this one cruising over Outer Island off Branford, CT last month. Sony Nex-6, zoom lens at 75mm equivalent, HH, ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/1600, Aperture Priority, matrix metering; no cropping, adjusted levels and sharpness in PSE. Comments and suggestions always welcome and thanks for viewing.

Jim, this is a fine catch on this gull in flight. I like where it is in the frame, the spread of the tail feathers, and the curve of the wings. However, without something that constitutes a "scape", like in-focus clouds, shore, waves, etc. I don't think this fits the theme of "faunal landscapes" so I'm moving this to Avian. Hope you understand and I greatly appreciate your participation in the WC.

Nice work on the blacks and whites; never easy to properly expose both.

Nice wing position and I like the position in the frame, Jim. The Gull seems just a bit soft.
