Canon 1D-X, 500mm f4 x 1.4TC, hand held
f13, 1/1250, ISO2500

This juvenile Dipper was noisily begging for food along the Gulkana River. The photo is through a small window in dense stream-side willows, the out of focus greenery. I hope it doesn't distract too badly.

Full frame. Adjustments to Levels. Selective sharpening to bird.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

A cool capture of that wonderful "feed me" squawk. In a perfect world a lower POV would have been nice but I'm sure you already thought that. :toast:

Love the active pose Jim.
Nice detail, exposure, and natural colors.
The OOF green doesn't detract too much, the juvie Dipper steals the show :toast:

Nice one, Jim. I love the begging pose (our backyard is full of other species youngsters right now doing the same thing). Looks like there might be a bit of sharpening halo over the top of the head. Excellent job bringing out the textures in the plumage.
