The young American Goldfinches are popping out by the dozen right now and our yard is full of their "feed-me" cries. I love the varied and rich coloration of the fledglings of this species as much or more than that of the adults.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 2.0TC, Jobu gimbal on RRS legs, f9, 1/640, iso 640, -1/3 stop compensation, pattern metering, aperture priority. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to 7.5MP of the original 16. Taken today at 7:19 am with filtered sun and a foggy bg.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

All the Lesser's are out here, clearing out the feeders almost daily.
Nice pose you caught and perfect DOF.
IMO, Seems a little too much, dead space at the left, but a personal choice.

Dennis,
It is a very sweet image. Agree with Sandy regarding the space on the left, but can see that you gave us room where he is looking. :toast:

I like the placement in the frame Dennis and think the negative space works nicely IMO. I also like the downturned head...it gives a nice feel. Good work.
