Very nice frame. Love the pose and the OOF flowers really set a nice scene/context.

This is really cool, Howard. I have a couple of questions. those wings are almost completely frozen-was it really flying or was it perched? It looks kind of both to my eye. I never realized there was that much leg on a hummingbird. Anyhow, a really great hummer shot.

Hi Dennis & thanx for commenting.
Let's just say it's a 'tweener'.
It's very hot now, and I've noticed they rest/slow down like this on the petal edge sometimes.
And on rare occasions (especially if they're in shade), they will stop their wing movement entirely..

Hey Howard,
Great title, takes me back to my Hippie Daze. Love the colors and lighting in this one and what a great look at this female as she enjoys that sweet nectar. Man !

Great shot of the little hummer, if an unusual pose. Love the BG with the fluffs of pink.

Beautiful shot Howard, love the way it's perching on the flowers and the bg flowers. I would probably take a bit off the top to make it less square, although tough to lose any of that beautiful bg.
