Miniature Rose

This rose is only about an inch in diameter.

I'm wondering what people think about the OOF bud in the bg.

Canon 60D, f/8, 1/2000 sec., ISO 400, 85mm focal length. I had the high shutter speed because it was a windy day.

Beautiful colors and soft lighting, the mini-rose pops in this frame Barb.
Great point of focus and details as well..
I like the second flower ULC, it gives you that before & after thing too
Nicely done! :toast:

Barb - I do not find the bud distracting. Its reasonably out of focus to be a distraction and our mind tells us that is how most of the scenes you saw looked like. It gives instant acceptance.

I like the layers of small petals so nicely captured. Alternating pinks and whites look very lovely. Have you tried using diffusers anytime ?

Ram, I haven't tried diffusers yet, but it sounds like a good idea and I hope to try using them soon.

Beautiful flower and nicely captured Barb. I don't mind the oof bud. I do feel the light is a bit harsh and is causing shadows. I like Ram's diffuser suggestion, short of waiting for a cloud. A beautiful image as is. Well done!
