Marigold Morning

Marsh Marigolds line the edge of this alpine lake near Silverton, Colorado. I had spent four nights there last week in hopes of a colorful sunrise. The softer light on the clouds and warm light on the peak makes this my favorite image from the location.

Perfectly composed and nice attention to the placement of the reflection. No suggestions to improve upon this. :toast:

All of the elements in this shot fit perfectly, Doug. I can see why this is your favorite. I can't see anything I would change. Sweet take on this alpine location. Makes me want to be there. Outstanding :toast:

Doug, This is really beautiful. Not sure how you could improve on this as everything looks fantastic to me. Really makes me wish I was there enjoying this place. Wonderful work!

Such a calm and simple setting.Nothing dramatic but still registers the landscape, a fine deviation from those screaming landscapes.

This has a lot to like…with foreground, soft sunrise light, and a nice reflection. Full of interest, details and colors. If I could change one thing …. hmmm… nothing really…. well, perhaps a third off the sky. Minor …minor. I would like to see this printed big and discover more details in the flowers. Well Done!

I'll add my +1 vote for this one, Doug. I agree with Tony about a crop of the sky, but as he says, " Minor …minor"

Nicely done, and well seen.

Thanks all for your comments; they are appreciated. This is a stack of several images for dof using Zerene software (somehow I missed the front flower being in focus) and a blend for the sky exposure.

Doug, this is cool; I also like a crop of the top just below the sunlit peak.
