Late in the afternoon the moon flower blossoms begin to open and will remain open until early morning when this photo was taken.

John - Tastefully done. This is one shot I wish you used a DSLR and Stacked. The fine dew would have been rendered even nicely. Love the colors and Spiral Movement effect from the petals.

John, I really like the comp on this one. The leaves seem really dark (but maybe it's just my monitor) and could be lightened up a bit, although the darkness does create more contrast with the flower.

Very nice image John. I like the patterns in the background from the edges of the leaves against the darkness. The flower itself is very well captured. Nicely done!

Beautiful flower and a very nice composition. I think it could be a bit brighter.

I appreciate how the edges of the leaves contribute to the overall pattern.

John: I confess to not being familiar with this flower but I wonder if the petals are naturally white. If so I would work with the WB or white point to remove some of the blue. Here's my suggestion FWIW. Marvelous subject and a fine comp and capture. >=))>

Lovely flower. I like Bill's work on the WB. I don't know if it is correct, but it brightens up the presentation.

Hi everyone, thank you for your comments. When it first started to bloom the petals were white, but as it continued to bloom the petals started to pick up a slight blue cast, this is what I was trying to show. I do like what Bill has done. My next challenge will be to get a "moon light" image.
