Male Kudu

This is probably one of the largest sets of horns I have ever seen on a Kudu, but what I liked most was the "variegated" tongue which I had never noticed before.
Taken in Chobe National Park, Botswana, unbelievably we were the only people there, but we were way down south.

I echo your comment. This is possibly the largest set of horns I have ever seen on a kudu. You have captured one magnificent antelope here. At 350mm, you were relatively close. Must have been a thrilling experience. My only nit is more room if you have it. Other than that, amazing capture.

Impressive Kudu. Greater or Lesser? Is that rhino or elephant dung on the ground? My only nit is that the out of focus tree against the sky is distracting. It would take a little work to remove it without leaving evidence of its former presence, but I would try. I'm envious of your sighting of this animal. Ron

That's certainly a big set of horns. Nice view of this handsome fellow, though I agree with Jerry that the crop feels a bit tight.

Thanks, with hindsight I definitely think I cropped this too tight

Great looking kudu. I wanted to add that the lifted front foot adds life to the image.
