Moon Waves

Taken on my 78th birthday, 6Aug2009 in front of my rural home in Orono, Maine, USA. This may look up-side-down, but it ain't. The clouds turned out to look like water waves (surf), not by my intention.
Canon EOS 40D
EF300mm f/2.8L IS USM +1.4x
1.0 sec; f/5.0; ISO 100
Aperture priority; spot metering

Ron, This is really cool. I'm totally enjoying the allusion you captured here! Yes, my first thought was that it was up-side down like you mentioned. Really an interesting shot that I like very much.

At first glance, I thought this was the moon reflected in wave outwash and the clouds were waves in the background--very interesting effect. I like the graphic nature of this, Ronald.

Very cool. At first I thought it was a reflection of the moon in wet sand but something did not look quite right for that. Love it!

This is pretty wicked-I like it a lot! One minor suggestion--id crop out the bright strip on the top, that way you'd get an even gradient from light to dark. :wavey:

Love the abstract nature to this Ronald. It's a mind bender and a joy to look at. I might bring some highlights back in the moon bu that's it
