Ram, very nice entry in my opinion, beautiful comp, natural color and detail, definitely a pretty scene. Excellent work.

Cool, it's Lower Falls of the Yellowstone week. This looks good, Ram, but admittedly it's tough to get something "new" or even "newish" here. You've set this up well with the tight look at the falls set off at the bottom of the frame by the major rapids. This was taken fairly early in the summer since I see a bit of the snow field peeking out to the left of the falls.

Mark, You have the eyes of an eagle -- it was a bright piece of something - I burned it a bit in PS to prevent more attention going there. We went in July and it is perhaps snow mixed with some dirt etc which kind of refuses to melt for a long time. Here is a crop of that area from another shot which was a close up of the falls.

Water sure is flowing, Ram. Lot of it. Amazing place/scene that I saw once about 40 years ago. Looks pretty much the same.

Ram, you're right about it being a dirty snow/ice field since Yellowstone doesn't have rock falls with rounded (or whiteish) rocks. Both this year and in 2010, the park had a lot more snow than normal, so I'd guess that this was either taken in 2011 or before 2004 since the area experienced a 7 year drought "ending" with the snows of 2010.

I like the lines of the river going up to the falls Ram. Great perspective in my opinion.
