Some Blesbok look at some tortoise at the Haak en Steek Waterhole in Mokola National Park South Africa.
The soil really is this red.

The reddish color of the soil complements the blesbok quite nicely, and in fact, the antelope look much more orange than I've seen. It's a cool combo. It looks like they're about to turn and flee, which would fit right in with my experience at Mokala, where all the animals seemed quite shy.

This is one of those images that doesn't hit you in the face with its epicness, but is just a very interesting image with great tones, subjects, comp, etc. that all add up to making it a great shot. Even the transition from orange to brown at the 1/3 line and the blesbok on the left facing each other are great aspects. I like the green vegetation at the top left as well. Pano crop is definitely the way to go here, IMO.

Great colors and grouping. I feel it would be slightly improved with either a little more space on top, or more pano, as in cropped to exclude the right side OOF tortoise.

Very interesting capture. Lots going on here. The Blesbok really stand out against the red dirt. Maybe more room up top if you have it. Other than that, no other nits.
