I like the comp Chet and the detail in the rock face. The white in the cloud looks a little bright on my MacBook. Otherwise I like the simplicity of the image and the textural contrast between the rock and the cloud.

Chet, Everything here looks very good to me. I think your comp works nice showing the contrast between the rock face and sky and that cloud really adds to it.. Lots of nice detail in the larger version as well.

Yep, nice and simple--lots of drama in the starkness of this one. The highest values in the cloud look a little hot to me, as well. The position of the cloud is perfect and adds a nice balance to the composition.

I like you're B&W conversion Chet, in which the tonality created by the harsh midday light actually works in your favor, whereas a color version at this time of day would probably be the opposite. I also agree about the hot spots in the clouds, but that's minor.

Excellent composition and I too like the simplicity. My only nit is that the shaded rock on the left really draws attention away from the remainder of the image. I might try to work on the section a little.

Excellent B&W image, Chet. I like the way the rugged rock face is juxtaposed with the fleeting wispy cloud. Great range of tones and textures also. Really nice, work!

The harsh shadows bring out the rock textures nicely, contrasting with the soft cloud.
