I have been running into gray tree frogs while out looking for photo-worthy odonates. This one was at the size limit for capture with my 300mm f4 and extension. Total length of the frog was around 3/4 of an inch. (K5 IIs, 300mm f4 + 40mm extension, ISO 640, 180 sec at f16). LR, blacks, exposure, noise reduction; CS5 levels, Topaz Infocus, Topaz Detail, Crop 30% from left and bottom for composition...............Jim

Hi Jim,

Nice sharp capture of a cute little creature. Love the eye and the very stubby nose. I do find the out-of-focus brown portion of the leaf a little distracting, and wonder if this shot might be improved a little simply by cropping a bit off the bottom of the image? That might require shaving a little off the left side as well (to keep the same approximate aspect ratio).

Thanks for sharing this one...cheers...

Brad

The frog looks great to me and the colors of the leaf are very complementary to it, very nice Jim :toast:

It is a pleasure to be able to examine this in the larger edition to enjoy textural detail.

I like this as posted and like your decision on the comp. Agree with Lon about the textures in the large version are nice to view.
