This shot was taken during late afternoon in the Stout Grove at Jedediah Smith Redwoods SP. This is the place that stood in as the moon of Endor in Return Of The Jedi. I didn't see any Ewoks, but the mosquitos were ferocious!

tough but you did well with it.

I like the composition, Joseph, but I'm on the fence with the leaning trees. The light and color work very well.

I like the comp a lot Joe and the light is beautiful. No suggestions on my part. I wish it were in my portfolio.

Capturing forest scenes as well as you did on this one is something I need to work on. However, I'm with Preston on the leaning trees. Beautiful mid tone capture.

Thanks guys. Some of the trees did have a bit of a lean to them, but some of it is distortion too I'm sure. I'll correct and repost.

And Stan, they were bad. As soon as I stopped walking, they would mob me. Funny thing is, our campsite had very few!

Definitely a fine Redwood scene with the layer of ferns at the bottom. Looks very pleasant and peaceful.

These are not easy to do well as it may seem when you are in the woods...
Nice job, the bit of sunburst in the center is nice and nice texture on the trees.

Love forest scenes, and for the most part they are very difficult to compose. You did a beautiful job with this, I especially like the light, natural colors, pretty scene for sure. Excellent work Joe.
