Filming Paradise

I finally got the film back from my Rainier trip.

This was maybe the best exposure from the trip. The dynamic range of digital is starting to spoil me. This might be the last film trip I take.

Tachihara 8x10, 90mm Schneider, linear polarizer, Fuji Velvia 50, 30 seconds at f-45.

This is really nice Michael. I like the composition, the light and the layers. Beautiful work for my tastes. No suggestions.

Beautiful scene Michael with a very nice comp and great detail in the larger version. The water looks great as does the light on the mountain. Great image. :toast:

Great - I like how the FG rock mirrors the peak.

Nice layers--real pretty scene! The dodging on the water highlights seems a tad strong, otherwise looks great to me.

Great composition, I love the foreground and the close crop for the sky.

Beautiful scene with a strong composition I love the contrast between the mountain and the stream. Very well done. Bravo!

Beautiful scene Michael. The foreground adds something special to this shot and the composition works well. The light on the peak is just bit harsh for my taste. Well done.

Michael, this is the kind of light I'd expect for the time of day--cool in the shadows and warm in the high values. I like this a lot. The composition is strong and the light and color look very nice.

Please don't give up film. I've appreciated your 8x10 work for a long time.

Harley turned me on to a trick for opening scanned images in Adobe Camera Raw. Open Bridge, select the image, right click and then select Open in Camera Raw. I have found that by doing this, I can use the adjustments in ACR to take advantage of the dynamic range that's not easy to do after opening the image directly in PS. Just a thought.
