This is a newly emerged Variegated Meadowhawk from our pond.
Taken at first light, as the sun rose on our front window screen..
F/18, 1/20th, ISO 640, 1D M3, Sigma 150mm f/2.8

Nicely imaged in the early light, Howard. I like being able to see right through the wings. Very cool. Excellent detail edge to edge.

Howard, it's neat that you found this freshly molted df and that it's catching the early light. Fine job catching the glint in the fresh wings, great detail in the body, and edge to edge sharpness in the screen. You could use that screen for lens tests.

Great detail and color. I like the way the screen almost make the wings disappear.
