Spent a restful time at Jacksonville Beach, FL during August. This was taken on the first morning of vacation. Looks solitary, but there were people everywhere including surfers, photographers, and fishermen. Just got lucky with this shot where everyone was out of view.

Cool! Love the perspective. One suggestion--which may sound picky but you've got a nice shot here so you might as well perfect it--id desaturate the pier. Make it nearly B&W, so none of that red hue competes with the natural hues of the sky/sea. :wavey:

Great stuff - very interesting comp, beautiful color, and good shutter speed.

This is really a fine, evocative image. I love the crop and the geometrial interplay of the sun/circle, posts, lintels and waves. Refined color. What's to change?

Marc, I sure like the soft colors and smoothed wave action and how they set of the starkness of the pier. The larger view shows of the drama of the stark/soft contrast much better.

The colors, the slight blur of the water and the subject is really nice. I just not excited about the pano composition. The pier and the reflection are the main subject of the image and they both seem to be abruptly cut off and my attention seems to be drawn to the open space, especially on the left.
