These three teens, just getting their adult plumage appear to be plotting something nefarious at the local watering hole

Hi Lucy,
The group of jays are showing some key behaviors of the flock. One keeps watch while the other two snag a drink. Well done....................Jim

Cute, Lucy. I especially like the one that appears to be gazing at its own reflection.

Cute one, Lucy. Hard to catch one of these shy birds, let alone three.

Phil,it's pretty cool having. an entire family group - 2 adults and 3 babies!
West Nile killed all of them around.here. I hadn't seen one in many years. Then. I saw one at my feeder around March. So,,I bought a big.tray feeder on a pole and filled with sunflower seeds and mealworms. Also, put up 2 birdbaths -,one shallow and one deeper.
Now I have, not only, this blue jay family..,but also have 2 cardinal families,at least one mockingbird family, and 2 bluebird family units!!! And , those are an addition to all the other birds, that are here all the time. I have so many babies bathing, that I might have to set up another bath!!!
I grew up in.Pensacola surrounded by blue jays. So, although many folks don't like their call...it sounds like home to me!
