Little Feather...

This young cardinal doesn't have a full crest yet...just a few feathers sticking up. I love it!

I put this in photo art, because discriminating Avian posters would probably object to the Topaz Cleaning and sharpening results. You cannot tell, that the Topaz program has sharpened in an artistic way until you view this image enlarged. What do you think? Would it have "passed muster" in Avian?

I like it, and I hope you like it, too.

Love the colors in this and the alert pose. Very nice.

Lucy, The lil Cardinal is charming, and you're right. I look at the larger image. While the bird is cute, the original image was probably not sharp enough and Topaz appears to have sharpened but IMBHO, it looks overly sharpened.

Still cute.

Cheers,
Carol

I may have oversharpened in my desire to avoid the dreaded "soft" comment, that I tend to get in Avian

Yes, I think the avian folks would probably have criticized the soft areas. Glad you worked with it and posted it here, because it's so cute! Love the pose, and that it looks young and a bit raggedy. I like it cropped from the top, down to the where the straight leaf comes in from the left. A little brighter eye?? But fine as is, too.
