Very nice detail and colors here Patrick. The flash feels just a touch heavy to me, dialing in a little bit more negative compensation would have helped there. :toast:

WOW!, Very cool Patrick. Love the pose and the perch. Only nit would be that the foot looks a wee bit over sharpened (as compared with the tree right next to it), even in the small version is looks unnatural, almost leaps out at you.

Stunning, Patrick. I love it. Definitely one of my personal all-time favourites of yours. Phenomenal processing as well. Not sure what else to say...gorgeous detail, love the textures and character in the perch, and the OOF background is so pleasing. I saw Nate's suggestion for less flash and will certainly defer to his expertise, but you're awfully close to being on the mark on that end IMO. Congrats on a beauty!

Very nice Patrick! Looks as though you're getting the hang of the flashgun. I would offer a similar comment to Nate's, just a tad off the flash compensation, which you'll want to be mindful of particularly on cloudy days, when just a very skosh amount of fill will do.

Excellent capture Patrick ! Great colors and details ! It is nice to see the birds perching horizontally instead of the usual vertical tree-trunk shots. The bark directly above the bird is too bright to my taste, but it is minor. :toast:
