Our BoP just keeps opening up with new feathers. Caught these this morning during a light misting rain. All comments welcome.>=))>

Bill - This is a shade of blue that only a peafowl feather may be able to compete with
Looks terrific. I am wondering if a vertical might have as good an appeal.

Ram: The original is the real orientation but I was thinking the same thing as you regarding a vertical. Here is the flipped version.

Quite a dramatic color combination, Bill. Nicely rendered as well with good detail against the oof green bg. I think the vertical is more natural floral presentation, but the horizontal maintains the bird imagery better. Excellent either way.

You have a painter/s touch on this one, Bill. Bold strokes indeed. The blue is stunning. A fine floral abstract and to make it even more so, I might suggest cropping in from the sides a little more. Cool images you're making from the Bird of Paradise.
P.S. Just caught sight of the vertical. Even better.

Bill:
Your BOP series is a delight to look at, each one different and special. Love this one as well, especially the vertical.

These blooms seem like tough ones to shoot Bill (at least they do for me). You are finding some good, unique comps. This photo has a strength to it. The vertical feels a bit more dynamic to me.
