Here's one from the archives, 2012. Off-season for Crocus, but… oh, well…
D700, Lensbaby; NIK for local sharpening.

Thanks for the welcome back, and for all of your comments. It's nice to see familiar faces and new ones, too.

Very nice. My only "nit"is that I would have liked to see the pistil a little sharper. But all in all a great image.

Very artistic, Catherine. As Ram said, excellent soft lensbaby effect. Works well with the lighting and colors. :toast:

Beautiful mood you have created. However, I would definitely prefer the pistol or stamen, whatever the "orange thing" is, to be in focus. It is the "eye" of the flower, and just like with people and animals, out-of-focus eyes rarely, if ever, are successful. Otherwise, gorgeous vignetting, and beautiful colors.

Good complementary colors. Nice soft focus. I actually like the focus on the pistil.

Heh-heh.…, yep, focus with the toes… This one might have been with elbows, as it looks like I'm up a little higher than the usual ground level with my nose in the dirt. Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoy these so much.
