Foggy Day in Leavenworth

This was taken on a foggy day that also happened to be my birthday, in quaint Leavenworth, Washington. The town had a Bavarian charm to it, and it was very easy to want to stay for awhile.

Camera gear and settings used: Nikon D5000, f/10, 1/400 sec, ISO 200, 32mm

The splashes of color in the monochrome landscape work beautifully here. It's a very engaging image with the low cloud and color holding me in the frame.

Hi Emily that's a really charming scene love the black and white mixed with the splashes of intense colour it really works well. I would guess it probably won't meet the criteria for being in this gallery it should probably appear in the Man and Nature one but I think it's very enjoyable and I am sure they will think so over there too if it does end up being moved.

Hi Emily, This is quite enjoyable to look at. The combination of b&w landscape with the color is pretty cool. I especially like the layer of fog through the scene.

I think this is just a beautiful image. The colors of the image adds the touch that makes the image grab and hold you.

Beautiful autumnal scene from Leavenworth, Emily. One of my favorite places to go and by the look of this, I better hop on over there!
