Shot with a Nikon D810 and AFD 200mm Micronikkor. Its amazing how much detail this body shows in comparison to D300s.

Very nice Ram. I have been shooting tons of dahlias lately - the gardens that I go to have lots of great ones. I think I may have even shot this variety. This is nice, I really like the details. I wonder a bit about the clipped petal in the top center - but that is always my biggest question when composing dahlia photos.

[Ram] --> Nathan, I have the same problem too. If I include that petal, I'd be showing some background somewhere instead of filling the frame. Very rarely do I find a very symmetrical Dahlia

I like the ‘in yer face’ approach of this …and the complete details, bold and complimentary colors, and symmetry…harmony a visual orchestra. Well done!
