I decided to go with a "bold" look for this flower. I added a red bg, darkened the spathe(leaf) and increased the saturation of the spadix(to botanical?. I had to look it up). I also added a small amout of "poster edges filter". As always c/c's appreciated: good-bad or otherwise. Thanks

Canon 20D(my old camera)
Canon 24-70f/2
ISO 100
Shutter: f//8@o.8sec.
Focal length: 45mm
Metering Mode: Partial

Interesting processing, Floyd. I like all but the "poster edges filler".

I think the processing works pretty well. Probably is more photo-art than straight photo, but I like the results.

I like the comp, the saturated colors, and the red bg. I'm not real crazy about your use of the poster edges filter here.

Thanks for your comments. I wasn't sure whether to post this in the Flora Gallery or Photo Art. Probably should have been in Photo Art.

Floyd: Really nice result and a well crafted image. I do think this is more Photo Art so I am going to move it there. Nicely done.>=))>

The processing and color works well, but I agree with the comments about the "poster edge"
