My recent trip did not produce very many reasonable images of birds, but here is one that I hope you like.
This male was shot in a small colony we found in Namaqualand National Park, on the west coast of South Africa. Luckily the sun made one of its rare appearances

An intense stare and firm grip on the perch. Nice comp and detail. Wonderful light, well done.

The first thing I noticed is this intense stare, amazing details in plumage and beautiful colours. I like it a lot.
