Another bracket fungi landscape I took on a rainy Sunday afternoon. This purple fungus was growing on the end of a cut cherry log. K5 IIs, 180mm 3.5 macro (1/60 sec at f5.0, ISO 125; Natural Light. 21 image stack (Pmax) crop for composition, LM for lights, darks, and midtones..............Jim

Jim, this is a way cool fungi, with those purple edges. Your stack shows the details off nicely and your comp. works well.

Great textures and eye catching color Jim. I might consider darkening the blurring area at the viewer's bottom right a touch more or maybe a dark vignette. The upper left and lower right both seem to lead my eye away from the subject but more the bottom right than the upper left.

Wonderfull colors patterns and textures. I would agree with a bit of vignette since the bottom, though blurred still catches my eye a bit.

I like the color and detail of this interesting subject. I think some darkening of the lower right and upper left corners would zero in on the fungi.

Other than recommending to severely burn down the OOF area at the bottom right, this is really beautiful. Colors and textures are very attractive.

Thank you for the comments. I worked on an adjustment layer and reduced the exposure by nearly -4 and with a masking layer on top, I revealed the darker regions in the lower right and upper left corners. Good eye and great call on the darkening of the select regions--it looks more interesting and adds quite a bit of depth to the overall comp

Good job on the repost Jim. I think it's a much stronger image.
