Another look at the Pipevine or 'Blue' Swallowtail, this time 'crammed' with flowers.
Not to be confused with the flower 'cram' technique, these flowers are behind my subject of course. http://www.naturephotographers.net/articles0709/nb0709-1.html
F/13, 1/1250th, ISO 1000, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x & fill.

Exceptional, Howard. Really well composed with the BF perfectly positioned between the three zinnias. I like the three supporting zinnias and the overall nice bg. The image is busier than your many fine "clean" BF images, but the image has excellent balance and the supporting elements are all attractive and contribute in a positive way. Also very cool the way the orange accents on the ST's wings match the zinnias. I also like the soft blue in the bg. :toast:

Lovely composition, Howard, with the BF perfectly positioned in the frame. Nice feel of the textures in the wings.

I can't add to what Scott said. I agree wholeheartedly. :toast:
