This is the Etosha pan without water, hard to believe that European explorers walked across this in 1851, not knowing what was on the other side.
Foreground rocks are included for further interest

I like the simplicity. While I've never hiked across the desert, it makes me curious about what I'd find if I walked out there. There has to be something. Its like mountain biking or hiking on switchbacks or curvy trails....is this the top? What will the view be like around that bend? It makes me curious.
The horizon is a touch off level and on this uncalibrated monitor the top right seems darker than the top left. I'd want to balance those areas.

This should be able to fetch about $4m on the fine art market.

I too like the simplicity of this desert scene, Ken. It looks like a hostile place to venture without preparations.

I just got to this one Ken. I think I prefer it to your succeeding post. I like both but I particularly like the isolated rocks in this one.

Ken, I'm overwhelmed with the "further interest" Wow, this is desolate. It's a neat very minimalist view. Yes, I can see this appealing strongly to a small group of people.

This just says, "Lonesome". The minimalism is excellent, and I like the grouping of stones.
Nicely done, Ken.

Of the two 'nowhere"s I like this one best. the extreme starkness really appeals to me
