Madison River Osprey

I captured lots of images of this young Osprey while in Yellowstone recently. His behavior was pretty predictable. He would sit in the nest and cry until mom brought a trout. He would then eat it while in the nest or partially eat it and fly away to a different perch, as he is doing in this image. Human children or Osprey children, it's hard for them to start taking care of themselves. (smile)

Nice action capture Jerry ! Very good composition. The bird looks less sharp. Maybe the focus was on the nest ? Also the stick on the left is a distraction ( clone it out ? ). The good news : I still like it a lot !

Nice moment to capture, Jerry. I very much like the action here with the outstretched claws. I think your SS may not have been enough to freeze the osprey. Agree with Tjie on the foreground stick.

Nice action captured and interesting light and background. The stick is very distracting.
