Hello to all (with updated image)

after a 7+ year hiatus. Many things kept me away from posting here. I had been making images as and when possible however it was not as much I would like to. It is nice to get in touch with some old friends and make some new. Also nice to see two things haven't changed! Tony' masks have become a kind of digital revolution by now and Guy's writing 'natural and lucid' as it always was.

Any comments / critique on this image welcome. This is a shot which was in making for over 11 years. This was the first time I visited the place, Glen Coe. All these years I was visualizing it. This day we camped at the base and then'bagged' the Stob Dearg the next day. Not sure I've made justice to the beautiful place.

Two shot stitch with 24mm shift on EOS 6D. GND. Pol filter.

Prashan, Welcome back. What an amazing place. Waterfalls, mountains, rolling hills and dynamic clouds. A lot to keep the viewer's interest. Viewing this I think maybe the mid levels could be brought up a bit. Image seems a touch dark. Fantastic Job. :toast:

Beautiful scene Prashan. Welcome back to NPN. I agree with Gary that the image is a touch dark for my tastes but even so - It's spectacular.

Hmm, it seems some strange issue while exporting from LR. Hope this is better.

Welcome back, Prashan! I like the repost. One thing to consider is pulling down the cyan in the clouds surrounding the mountain. The composition is nice and I like the mood.

Superb composition and colors. Nice shutter speed. Way to come back! The shrub in llc might be too bright and mtn suffering from the ndgrad filter… Yep, cyan in clouds by Preston is on my list too. But, overall this sings …a keeper!

Lovely rendition of a classic highland scene. The heather is very nice in the foreground. I find the mountain a bit flat in an unnatural way, more contrast would help there IMO.

Breathtaking image. I look at this image and want to be there. I prefer the original posting, as it has a more mysterious feel to it IMHO, which suits the place. Wonderful work. :toast:

Welcome back, Prashan. Hope things are going well will you.

This is a gorgeous image. Almost a fairy tale like quality. The depth is amazing and the color and contrasts look spot on to me. Amazingly beautiful place.

It does look like a storybook land far away. I would agree with Preston about the cyan in the clouds, looks intense to my eye.

Welcome back. Great to see you again, digitally speaking.
