Most nature photographers do their best to exclude human elements from their photographs. However landscape images in particular can seem untouchable and devoid of mood and emotion without the context of humanity. I used a shallower depth of field to slightly emphasise the figure in the landscape.

Love everything about this. I have enjoyed taking landscape photos with my wife as the subject. I think it's ironic that we often concentrate and focus on presenting these grand landscapes with no sign of humans being there - ignoring the fact that there is someone behind the camera.

The human element adds a lot to your landscape, which in and of itself is very nice.

I like this. The idea of the turned back removes it from the "snapshot with a scenic backdrop" category and places the human as a part of the landscape, as well as establishing a contemplative mood. Good thinking!

I like what Phil said, so I'll him speak for me, too. Gorgeous color and mood.
