I wasn't looking for insects in taking this cosmos shot, but this little fly joined in nonetheless !

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 100mm, 1/125 sec @ f9, ISO 400.

Very nice, Ian. I like the comp including the bud in the LLC. The center detail is quite good.

Hey Ian,
The fly is a bonus to the overall image that I find very pleasing and well balance, the nice BG is a real plus also.
Well done . . . :toast:

Great BG behind the bloom. I like the inclusion of the bud in the LLC. The hoverfly is a nice touch.

The flower and bud are great, but I could do without the hoverfly. I think it divides attention from the dominant flower.

Ian - Very pretty...great focus and a soft feel. The bud and the hoverfly both add much interest to an already attractive main subject.

I really like the soft light and colors in the image, Ian. The background sets off the bloom very well. I like the bud and its location in the frame. The fly is a nice tough. :toast:
