"Stalking the Elusive Sunlight"

The sun broke through as the snow storm started breaking up and lit up the hillside where we were walking. It lit up Eli for a few seconds so I grabbed a quick shot. Unfortunately, another dog walked through the left side of the frame just as I took the shot, leaving a big black bushy out of focus tail filling most of the left side of the picture. I really liked the image of Eli lit up by the sunlight so I did a tight crop to almost a square. I actually like the crop better because it brings him in closer. Note that there is still a little bit of landscape behind him though

The large version really puts you right there with Eli and is worth viewing.

Interesting light that has spotlit and warmed up your 'stalker' nicely Gary.
And with the contrasting grays of this setting/BG, he's a real standout..
Great close up action shot, it "puts you right there with Eli" as you say!:toast:

Hey Gary,

Looks like the tail docking was a success. The lighting and that dark gray sky makes your dog stand out from the scene :wavey: ...............Jim

Looks to me like you found some perfect rays, Gary! The lighting on Eli is spectacular and you've got a good sense of action with the raised hind leg.
