Hatchling 4

Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro, CPL
ISO 200, 1/20 @ f16

I had finished shooting Hatchling 3 and had gone on to working a leaf tip when I glanced at the bud and noticed some barely perceptible movement and then POP goes the BoP and the first feather sprung open! Chrissy got to see it too. This was 8 minutes after Hatchling 3 and the show was not over. Stay tuned. All comments welcome. >=))>

This series sure makes for a wonderful array of photo opportunities overall, Bill. An excellent subject to work with as you've so craftily displayed with the series. Nice work as always......

Bill:

This is really gorgeous. BOP are difficult subjects but you have found many ways to shot them.

PS: in Ikebana class we are taught how to deliver these (like a midwife) rather than wait for them to pop!
