Chobe Sunset

A shot from our Chobe, Botswana extension last month. I liked the egrets gathered around the elephant with the setting sun.

Not much to say except...WOW. Really terrific capture Nate. Love the position of the sun, the birds roaming around, the reflection of the sun and the silhouette is top notch with the trunk curled. All this and I am not a huge fan of silhouettes...unless of course they are this good.

An awesome silhouette and beautiful sunset Nate  I like that the egrets are visible upon closer inspection of the larger version.

Sweet One!

Nate,
This works very well for me, and I am not a fan of silhouettes either

It doesn't get any better than this. Exposure is wonderful, I love the big bright African sun, the shapes of the elephant and the subtle white birds

Great exposure and I think the egrets add a nice subtle touch, texture if anything. I do wish the silhouette had more separation from the horizon, probably only possible if you had decided to go for a swim.

Stunning silhouette from a very nice low angle. I specially like that you can see the birds in the FG :toast:

Love the silhouette and the color Nate. Was this done with a polarizer?

This has an iconic feeling, as if symbolizing the richness and variety of an African nature trip! Lovely colors, too.
