Dorcas Copper

One of my oldies taken at a local fen. Dorcas coppers use shrubby cinquefoil as a larval host. This was taken with my old camera and it needed a lot of work before posting. I removed a distracting plant stem and cleaned up a few large dust spots. Final processing was adjusting brightness and a crop for composition (K10d, 180mm Sigma macro)...................Jim

Thank you. I always find good subjects in this fen complex. Mud, water, venomous snakes, thick brush all make it worthy for a day out in the field :wavey: .........................Jim
