Near Dingman's Falls, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, PA

The trees weren't growing straight up, so I respected that and left it as it was.

Raw file processed in LR5, with TK resize/sharpening for web.
Canon T3i, 1/15 s, f/6.3, ISO 400, EF 24-105 mm @ 88 mm, CPL
Cloned away one offending branch.

Please view the large image!

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

A strong comp, interesting spots of light and excellent detail. I like it as posted Ron.

I've thought about a photo of the last leaf clinging in the forest as the season turns. This rather has that kind of feeling for me. This has a nice impact on me and I like what you have done. Nice work. Chet

I like the horizontal format with the vertical trees here, Ronald. The large version is a real treat with all the wonderful lines and details. This is great.

The leaning trees make for a dynamic composition, Ronald. The dark understory sets off the bark nicely, and the last of the leaves clinging to the birches, as well as the spots of sunlight, add interesting highlights.

The angled lines in this image and your square comp make this a strong image for me, Ronald. The dark background provide a great complement to the tree lines. Very well seen. :toast:

This is very interesting. On the one hand there is a lot of detail and texture which tends towards the realistic, while at the same time the repeating pattern gives it a nice abstract feel. A difficult thing to pull and you have done it brilliantly.
