Paria Peaks

A weekend trip to Coyote Buttes yielded a colorful sunrise with high clouds that turned pink above the lower moving clouds. This shot is redemption for a one taken several years ago when the yellow mule ear flowers were blooming and my rookiness muffed the shot. I had drawn the needed BLM permit a few months ago, so was at the mercy of the skies on Sunday.

Love the comp and the colors Doug. Beautiful mood as well. The sky looks a touch over saturated to me but I wasn't there and I'm also viewing it on an uncalibrated Macbook Pro with retina.

I like the soft light and colors here. This may work even better if you crop on the right and left a bit.

Nice composition and soft light. The magenta in the sky could come down a notch. I like how the foreground plants lead me up, toward the rocks.

Beautiful colors and nice cloud pattern. I also love the soft light and the comp. I'm not quiet sure about the magenta in the sky.....but I think it's fine with me

Doug I really like this image. The soft pastel skies compliment the buttes nicely. I really like the composition and the semi-panoramic format is very effective for this scene. Great work!!

Doug,

I love the color tones through out this scene. The soft pastel colors compliment the brush and rock formations beautifully. Sweet shot!
