Another one that I took from my recent trip to the swiss southern alps. Matterhorn with its reflection on Stellisee early morning.

A very dramatic scene Bill with wonderful light on the mountains and very rich tones. Nice clarity in the mountains also. Great job on this.

Sweet b/w rendition, Bill. Very dynamic and should make somebodies wall very happy. Love the gradient in the sky and reflection. :toast:

Beautiful B&W conversion. Has an almost abstract feel to it like a Rorschach.

Roland, the lighting and your processing sure does let the Matterhorn and the entire ridge stand out. The near perfect reflection is a a great addition. Well done.

Wow! Stunning!

How recent was this? I know that Switzerland is a mountainous country. But is it normal for there to be this much snow on the peaks at this time of year?

Thanks for your feedbacks and comments.
@Jim Greenwood: this was taken mid october and yes it's normal that there is that much snow. Actually it was even too warm this past october
