Taken two weeks ago from the top of Sentinel Dome, the Yosemite Falls trail snakes up the canyon wall beside a bone-dry namesake. Not an inspiring photograph but it does show the impact of California's three year and counting drought, soon to be possibly the worst on record.
It seemed the entire park was like this with small, stagnant pools of barely trickling water in what should be flowing streams and rivers. We walked down the bed of Bridalveil Creek near Glacier Point Road with no problem, scattering the poor trout in their hopefully temporary tiny ponds.
