This is a bit messy but I like the feel of quiet repose in the leaning tree. I've passed by it many times and wonder what happened to put it at this angle. Unlike my last post, this was shot a few minutes paddle away from the comfort of our campsite. A little while later we were eating gumbo by the campfire.

Oh, this is sweet. The mix of monochrome and color works very well as does the diagonal tree. Beautiful David. Save some gumbo for me!

As in your previous post, the combination of gold and green leaves scattered through the monochrome works wonderfully. The angled trunk in the foreground makes a fine centerpiece.

David, This is really nice! I like what the leaning tree adds to this scene very much. Wonderful light and reflections and I love the colors you capture in the swamp. Beautiful work as usual from you.

The image has so much to enjoy David. There is a delicate nature to the tree leaning to the right. A feeling of solitude and a thoughts of reflection creep into my mind, and the wonderful tones are a treat.

Beautiful photography

I edited my original sentences, to more complete and actual coherent thoughts,

While this does not have the emotional pull for me that your last post did, it is still an excellent image. Your use of the diagonal tree and the clear, calm reflections is beautiful. Nice work, as always.

Another winner, David. I took a quick tour through your website and saw you snuck some great DV images amongst all of the swamp stuff. :wavey: What a contrast of environments.

These trees always provide a sense of mystery to me. The leaning tree more so. I like the contrast between the gray trunks / moss and autumn color.

I love your stuff and this is no exception.
The water is a bit messy, but I like the tree and the placement of it very much.

Cool image, David. I see cypress like this occasionally. I think it is probably a result of high wind at some point earlier. We have one lake in SE Missouri that has several trees like this, so we suspect high winds earlier in there life.

The leaning tree adds so much dynamic to a beautiful, understated scene. The colors are very nice too. I will come see this someday, I hope. Oh, I like gumbo!

These trees just ooze with atmosphere and even though you do a lot of them I still can't wait to see what other ones you manage to find. The fallen one breaks the rhythm in a most interesting way.

I really enjoy the muted colors in this one. And even though the tilted tree is the main focal point, the area to the left between the trees really draws my eye into the scene a lot further. Nicely done David!! :toast:
