Another through the room window. This one was with the subject farther away so the IQis lacking somewhat. Never know Oak leaves stay on so late in the year before.

A real winner her. The setting is as sweet as the bird. Well done.

The bird and perch are very nicely framed by the leaves and you've got an appealing background. Lots to like. Richard
PS: in the States, this year's dead oak leaves generally stay on through the Winter. Those that remain are pushed off in the Spring by the new crop of leaves.

Interesting Richard.-Around here the leaves only seem to stop on the younger trees- up to say 20 feet.

Nice one John, I like how the leaves frame the bird. You called this a Dunnock, is it the same as our chick a dee? Thanks for sharing.

Love all about this shot ! The surroundings, the colors, the eye light.. Great ! :toast:
Isn't a Dunnock though, but either a Marsch Tit or a Northern Willow Tit (always hard to tell them apart) I'd say ?
Cheers,
Hans

IQ looks pretty darn good to me! Especially considering you're shooting through a window with 800 ISO. The exposure is perfect and I love the rich natural colors plus the way the leaves frame the bird. Very nicely done, John! :toast:

Absolutely spellbinding, John! The colours and framing, textures and shapes all work together to take a fine shot of this Marsh Tit to a whole different level. Man alive did you talk him into the right spot on that perch...would have been hard to have placed him any more perfectly by hand!

Congrats on the WP...it's more than worthy.
